Core Rules and Movement

Mythic Battle Checkers follows the traditional rules of checkers. Players place their pieces on dark squares of the board. All moves occur diagonally forward. Capturing an opponent's piece requires jumping over it diagonally. When a piece reaches the far end of the board, it becomes a king. Kings gain the ability to move diagonally in both directions, adding a new layer of strategy. The game concludes when one player loses all pieces or cannot make a legal move.

Fantasy Theme and Visual Design

The game replaces standard checkers pieces with orc and human warriors. This fantasy setting gives the board a mystical battlefield feel. The visual change does not alter the core strategy, making it accessible to newcomers while offering a fresh look for experienced players. The theme adds atmosphere without complicating the rules.
